Welcome to our blog for the 2014 SCM Team! I hope we will be able to edify one another and grow together as one unit as we train and serve together. Below is the format that we will be using for our scripture devotional posts:
"Just a reminder for the format of your posts:
1) Your insights on the scripture for that week. These are the scriptures that we will be using to teach the kids in China so be familiar with them and share any insights you may have!
2) How you are physically preparing for the trip. What did you do this week to prepare for the physically grueling challenge that awaits us in China?
3) How you are emotionally preparing for the trip. Did you have any challenges or pressures this week (stress over tests, situations at work, etc.) and how did you overcome them?
Feel free to include anything else that is encouraging that would benefit the team!"
But before we begin these devotional posts, lets start off getting to know each other better. And since we have a presentation on Mother's Day, this may be a good warm-up for you as well. By Saturday 5/10, please write your first blog post answering these two questions:
1. Why are you going on this mission trip?
2. What are you expecting out of it?
Try to be as specific as possible and take some time before Saturday to finish answering these two questions.
